Piotr, at the urging of his fiancée, enrolls in a course to help him quit smoking. By mistake, he ends up in a mysterious self-help class, where the men are led by a misogynistic yet charismatic man they all call Leader. Piotr initially enjoys the comradery of other men in the class and Leader’s ideas, even questioning his own opinions about his fiancé. However, he eventually comes to realizes how deranged they all are. Piotr attempts to flee the group, but his escape turns violent, and he ends up in a mental institution where none of the male doctors believe his story.
