Oscar Malle is on the run from the law after killing six criminals in Missouri. He takes Sancho for his slave to help him find gold in the Sierra Mountain Range in California whilst they are on the run. They find the gold and proceed to make a plan to get it all out of a tavern and to San Francisco in order to exchange nuggets for notes
